However, this trace is too vague to be ignored. The biggest disadvantages of this method are; The healing process is long, bruising and edema are seen.
Post-Surgery Care
Paying attention to certain points after rhinoplasty will directly affect the healing process. Although the recovery process of rhinoplasty scares many people, in general, the process is completed without any problems. A splint is placed on the nose after surgery. Depending on the situation and the doctor’s preferences, a tampon can also be inserted. After 7 days, these splints and tampons are removed and a bandage is put in place. After the bandage stays in the nose for a week, it is removed and the nose is completely opened.
Short-term bruising and swelling may occur after rhinoplasty. The bruises go away on their own after 15 days. Most of the swelling goes down in the first months of the operation, but it may take 6 months to 1 year for all of them to go down and take the final shape of the nose. After the operation, nasal congestion may occur for a while due to intense swelling. This blockage will pass within 2 weeks.
Using an ice pack in the first 48 hours after surgery will help reduce bruising and swelling. People who have rhinoplasty surgery can usually return to their normal lives within 2 weeks. However, you should not exercise for 3 to 6 weeks. Within a year, it will be possible for all swellings to go down and the nose to take full shape.
